"Not to detract from the way you look or anything," he cocks his head with an apologetic grin, "But when I look at you, I see some aquamarine here," his index finger points vaguely at one's nose... "and some fuchsia right here at the cheekbone, maybe down around the ear here..."
Malcolm Farley pauses, scrutinizes and shrugs. "Everywhere I look I see these fantastic, bright colors. It's been that way since I was a kid.
This kid started painting at the age of eight. Particularly fascinated with the energetic drive and aura of athletes, Malcolm Farley cut his teeth painting the world's greatest baseball, tennis, football and hockey stars. But that wasn't where he stopped.
Unlike 99% of the highest-level artists in the world, this guy doesn't just sit in his studio to paint. Malcolm Farley prefers to create his art in live event fashion while thousands, even hundreds of thousands, look on.
As a result, Malcolm Farley is globally recognized for his ever-growing portfolio of high-profile events. Most recently, Malcolm unveiled 24 originals of Major League Baseballs Most Memorable Moments at the World Series. This event, sponsored by MasterCard, is just one of numerous joint partnerships that are occurring now between Fortune 500 corporations (i.e. Time Warner, Pepsi Cola, Nabisco) and the sporting and music worlds, Malcolm Farley is the entity that brings them together.
In the last five years alone, Malcolm Farley has painted live at:
Additionally, he paints on stage for musicians such as B.B. King and Carlos Santana and creates memorable art and tile walls for children's foundations, hospitals, sporting event centers, and libraries.
He's recently added a few surprises to his portfolio with a platform event by Mikhail Gorbachev, marine and wildlife paintings for renowned aquariums, and was recently flown to New York to paint at The Sopranos season premiere cast party.
Because his talent is so diverse and unique, Malcolm Farley is also the most popular modern-day artist to be booked into live painting performances for CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox Sports, The Fox & Friends Morning Show, ESPN, and the USA Network.
"The color and action Malcolm puts to canvas is only surpassed by his charismatic energy with the fans and his affable ability to adjust to any environment in which he is performing," says Dan Marino, NFL All-Time Passing Leader for the Miami Dolphins. "Malcolm Farley is the total package."
